The Group Manager - Volunteer Program is responsible for proactively leading and reviewing, enhancing, growing and reporting on the Volunteer Program across the Epworth HealthCare Group. This senior leadership role which is both strategic and operational has been created given Epworth’s significant growth, especially with the opening of the Lee Wing in Richmond and the new Epworth Geelong Hospital.

Reporting to the Executive Director HR you will communicate and promote Epworth’s Group Program strategy and activities, and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to help develop and integrate the Program into Epworth’s operations.  Critical to the role is your ability to develop, drive and actively contribute to the agreed programs of work, providing highly effective leadership to the Volunteer Program Coordinator and Volunteer workforce.

 

For this pivotal role you should have 3-5 years’ experience in Volunteer Program Management and be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline.  With strong strategic and operational leadership skills, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, you will also have proven influencing capability and the capacity to drive positive change initiatives for continuous improvement  through Volunteer activities.

 

Reporting to a capable, skills-based Board that will look to you for strategic advice, you will provide
leadership to a professional and well-regarded management team. You will drive the strategic
plan, manage key relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensure sound clinical standards and
business practices, and deliver quality care for residents.
For this key position you should be a proven CEO who can demonstrate success as an inspiring
leader. Knowledge of the sector is preferable to be able to manage the opportunities and
challenges facing aged care and you will need sound commercial management abilities.
